About Me

My photo
I am a Christian. I am a loving wife to my Army-National-Guard-Recruiter-Husband of 15 years. I am a stay-at-home-mother to our four handsome sons. I am a photographer. My blog is about as erratic, eclectic and random as I am, painted with rainbows of photos and words that are hills and valleys you travel; so lovely sometimes that they hurt you. These are the stories of how far we've come in the last 15 years as Christians, as a family and as individuals.

What we've done

Today is Monday and all is quiet in the Logo house except for the faint hum of the sewing machine as my Mom finishes up a shirt we've been working on.
She's been here for two weeks and we've managed to get through Breaking Dawn together, start the partial draft of Midnight Sun (which we plan to finish today), start The Host (all by Stephanie Meyer), sew a shirt and a half, shop (a ton), and most excitingly, loose a combined weight of 18.5 pounds (9.5 for Mom and 9 for me)!!! We are so estatic to see how well our efforts have paid off! Since the last time I went on a major kick to loose weight and lost 25 pounds, I had gained back 7.5 so I'm down all of that plus 1.5 pounds! How invigorating it is to know that 3 months worth of neglect could be remedied in two short weeks! I'm all pumped and raring to go! I should be down another 20.5 pounds by Christmas, keep me in your prayers... encouragement is always welcomed and appreciated.

Mom has to go home Wednesday, I hate that, but she hasn't been home (Texas, that is) in a very long time and I know those in that area are looking forward to having her nearby again. I have truly enjoyed this visit.

On another note: T.L.B.S. Ladies Bible Study commences tomorrow and I'm looking forward to seeing all of my group friends again.

Leave of Absence {3}

First I'd like to appologize for being MIA for over a month! Please forgive me, life changes so drastically for me as the boys make the transition back to school. I've also had house guests (who will continue to be here until the end of September so bear with me a bit longer, please). I can't believe I'm doing this (at such a late date) but here goes:

Tristen is in the fifth grade and has already recieved his schedule. They put him in Leadership the first semester and if he gets elected he'll be on the student councel board and stay in Leadership all year! We're so proud of him!

An aside: My wonderful husband got his long-awaited promotion! Praise God!
