About Me

My photo
I am a Christian. I am a loving wife to my Army-National-Guard-Recruiter-Husband of 15 years. I am a stay-at-home-mother to our four handsome sons. I am a photographer. My blog is about as erratic, eclectic and random as I am, painted with rainbows of photos and words that are hills and valleys you travel; so lovely sometimes that they hurt you. These are the stories of how far we've come in the last 15 years as Christians, as a family and as individuals.

{March 12, 2011} Tristen is Twelve

My boys are getting too grown-up for the childish birthday party invitations you find on the shelves at any given store, so I decided to make theirs this year: (see Seth's soon)
I remember back when Tristen's favorite color was "lello" and he was a huge fan of Elmo on Sesame Street, now his favorite color is red and he's into dragons!

Now join me, would you, as I take a trip
down memory lane.

(sorry for the poor quality - we hadn't gone digital yet and most of these were scanned from a scrapbook)

March 12, 1999 with the arrival of Tristen Bradley Logo I became a mother; the single most defining moment of my life
(outside of finding my savior, Jesus Christ).
Tristen wasn't due until March 31 (the same day Brad was due back from boot camp and AIT) so Brad missed the birth, but two weeks later he joined us in Corona, Ca - he was in awe; he couldn't stop staring at his son.
{That marked the beginning of the sacrifices this man would make for his family; I love him}
 I thought he was pretty neat myself.
 Tristen nearly spent his first Christmas in  the hospital due to a rare virus, but continued to be all smiles!

You are such a great photographer (I love the shots at the end of the post), but then again you've got a great subject. Treasure each moment because it passes quickly. Love the invites - so cool.
