About Me

My photo
I am a Christian. I am a loving wife to my Army-National-Guard-Recruiter-Husband of 15 years. I am a stay-at-home-mother to our four handsome sons. I am a photographer. My blog is about as erratic, eclectic and random as I am, painted with rainbows of photos and words that are hills and valleys you travel; so lovely sometimes that they hurt you. These are the stories of how far we've come in the last 15 years as Christians, as a family and as individuals.

{October 15} My Kiwanis Kid

Kiwanis Kids, aka K-Kids is a "student-led" community-service organization, which operates under school regulations and draws its members from the student body.  This year Tristen came home asking me if he could join and I was clueless!  I had no idea what it was all about but when I did my research and found out what all they do for our comminity I beamed with joy that my child chose to join this group on his own accord!  These are pictures of his first K-Kids organized community activity; a car wash that helped raise over $700 for needy families in the High Desert!
Some washed
Some got people off the streets
Some dried
But they all had fun!
K-Kids Leader, Mr. Galvez, didn't even take a lunch break!
I'm so proud of my hard working K-Kid!
I not only donated cash to have these wonderful young ladies & gentlemen wash my car but I also volunteered to photograph the event for their yearbook!  It was a very rewarding day!

What a great thing! I am proud of Tristen too. Did he get my donation I left at the house?
