About Me

My photo
I am a Christian. I am a loving wife to my Army-National-Guard-Recruiter-Husband of 15 years. I am a stay-at-home-mother to our four handsome sons. I am a photographer. My blog is about as erratic, eclectic and random as I am, painted with rainbows of photos and words that are hills and valleys you travel; so lovely sometimes that they hurt you. These are the stories of how far we've come in the last 15 years as Christians, as a family and as individuals.

Trampoline!

So, we've had our eyes opened to the possibility of getting a trapoline for the backyard for a few years now but never have the money when they are on sale and can't afford them when they aren't... Sunday, while in Wal-Mart, we came accross a deal that we couldn't pass up! Now we have a safe, fun way for the boys to burn off more of that Summer energy! YEAH!Since this was pretty-much an impulse buy on our way to a friend's house we weren't able to set the thing up before Brad's work week stared. The boys understood that it takes 2-3 people to set it up and they were going to have to wait for Dad to get home from work and if there was enough light we'd get it up... hopefully. They were so good about NOT bugging me (it's as if they'd forgotten we even had it, but for the whispers) that it made me yearn to want it set up for them to use, so I called a friend over and we tried, but to no avail due to the heat causing the metal to sear our skin! Later, after she had left and the weather cooled off, I made the attempt alone... who says you need 2-3 people? I know how to get things done! Wooo Hooo!I got the trampoline set up to where the older boys could jump freely, but I was nervous about letting Hayden on there, good thing he was asleep til Brad got home and we were just putting the finishing touches on the enclosure when he woke up, came outside and screamed, "It's so awesome! Can I jump?" That was the first of many remarks of extreme appreciation that my boys have been uttering ever since. What a blessing to hear, "you're the best, Mom! Without you we'd have to wait for Dad to get off work" - "you're so strong, Mom" - "Thanks for the trampoline, it's what I always wanted!" - "Can we sleep out here, like, instead of using a tent?" (This may have to be in the near future) - many, many words of appreciation... I just love my family!

yeah, that is a really cute shot! Somehow I thought I had already commented on this post but now I don't see my comment :( Hate when that happens! Or maybe I commented somewhere else. Anyway, I love that you put it together by yourself! I totally would have done that too! It's such a great feeling :)

Totally fun! we still don't have a net around ours and it is nerve racking watching Lily bounce Liberty so high sometimes! I cringe every time! Lol! They look like they are having a blast! (Sleeping on the trampoline? Also a request of the girls when we got ours.) I reccommend laying on it at night and looking at the stars. It's a great feeling!
