About Me

My photo
I am a Christian. I am a loving wife to my Army-National-Guard-Recruiter-Husband of 15 years. I am a stay-at-home-mother to our four handsome sons. I am a photographer. My blog is about as erratic, eclectic and random as I am, painted with rainbows of photos and words that are hills and valleys you travel; so lovely sometimes that they hurt you. These are the stories of how far we've come in the last 15 years as Christians, as a family and as individuals.

Indio

This is how we spent the last week:

At our WorldMark TimeShare (in Indio, Ca) we were checked in, unpacked and ready for the lazy river within 20 minutes!
Brad had the whole week off from work but still had his online courses to keep up with. He had no problems doing his homework while Hayden napped and the rest of us stayed at the pool!

As always, Hayden, so cool!

Even though it was a NICE 90-something degrees out, the wind was blowing like mad and when we got out of the water it felt more like 50-something degrees!
Swimming is a very tiring sport, it sure took the life out of Hayden! Tired as he was, he made sure to tuck his Dinosaur and Spiderman Venom toys in next to him before fully crashing.
One afternoon while Hayden napped, the boys chose to stay indoors so I took the opportunity to roam the complex; it was a natural (well, not really) wildlife reservation! Just look at what I found!

What's a hot Summer day by the pool without some fresh and juicy watermelon?

I made many attempts to capture the entire family in a single photo but alas, I just wasn't fast enough for the timer! LOL! This is the best I managed to get!

OMG Hayden is just not a baby anymore, is he?! I can't believe that little boy is Hayden! And Seth's (or Garrett?) face in that picture with the towel is priceless :) Gotta hate that fresh outta the pool feeling!

Love the hummungbird! Love it! Beautiful pictures. You inspire me to start snapping away again! It has been a while since I really felt the inspiration. Thanks for that. The family pic is still a good one, even if you did slide into "home" at the last minute! Lol!

I can totally picture you running over to get in it and pose in time, only to find out time after time that it didn't work. then saying forget it! and settling with "this is the best [you] managed to get"!!! ha LoL! too cute! beautiful pictures overall, mandy! :)
