About Me

My photo
I am a Christian. I am a loving wife to my Army-National-Guard-Recruiter-Husband of 15 years. I am a stay-at-home-mother to our four handsome sons. I am a photographer. My blog is about as erratic, eclectic and random as I am, painted with rainbows of photos and words that are hills and valleys you travel; so lovely sometimes that they hurt you. These are the stories of how far we've come in the last 15 years as Christians, as a family and as individuals.

He's ready... but am I?

Hayden will be four this Summer and is already expressing an intrest in going to school.  Every day when we drop off "his boys" he asks when will he get to go to school.  It breaks my heart not to be able to give him what he wants.  So one day last week we went to the local 99 cents only store and got some preschool books for him and I started having him watch the very same DVDs that helped the other boys learn their numbers and letters.  Actually, Leap Frog has come out with two new ones to add to our collection!  He has had a blast doing his "homework" and lights up when he shows "his boys" that he's "getting big too!"

I've started the preschool enrollment process for Hayden for this Fall, I'm really gonna miss having him aroundthe house all day!
*I'll think on that some other time*

We are fans of Leap Frog too. I saw that there was a new one out (I didn't know there were 2!) and am planning on getting it. My boys love them and so do I.

It looks like Hayden is doing a great job with his writing. I know what you mean about them being ready and you not. Anthony went to pre-K this year (because he literally begged - I so did not want him to go). He's doing great though and now I am glad that I sent him. I am not planning on sending Rance though (he's the last and I am not ready and he hasn't been begging like Anthony did - I hope he doesn't start).

Rance will be 4 this summer (late Summer - Aug.) also. He can't write as well as Hayden. Good job Hayden!!!!!!!! (Way to go mom.)

OMG! He is getting so big. He is a smart boy just like his brothers and will learn fast. I would want to keep him home too but I know he is READY to go to school and be a big boy! These pics are great!

Delanas daughter, Emily, my beautiful granddaughter, will be 4 in August. Hayden is really doing great with his writing! Did you teach him that? Tell me some tips for mine and Emilys weekends that I can help her with writing. She is really smart. Knows how to count, abc's, colors, animals, shapes. Memorizes books easy. I really like your blog !

You're such a good mom, Mandy. I know you feel so blessed to have your boys (and you are, of course), but I just wanted to say that they, too, are blessed to have you as their mom!
