About Me

My photo
I am a Christian. I am a loving wife to my Army-National-Guard-Recruiter-Husband of 15 years. I am a stay-at-home-mother to our four handsome sons. I am a photographer. My blog is about as erratic, eclectic and random as I am, painted with rainbows of photos and words that are hills and valleys you travel; so lovely sometimes that they hurt you. These are the stories of how far we've come in the last 15 years as Christians, as a family and as individuals.

Wow God Wednesday {3}

My husband and I did not meet at a church.  In fact, neither of us went to church frequently during our first few years of marriage.  I had been raised in the church and he had gone a time or two during his teen years with friends.  In 2003 I recommitted myself to the Lord and began attending church (infrequently at first) and bible study.  For years I asked Brad to join us (the boys and me) but he always declined.  I continued to pray and grow in my faith and one day Brad said he'd come to church with us.  That was over a year ago, he hasn't missed a Sunday service (unless he was working) since - and just this very morning he told me how Hayden came to him last night with a nightmare but he didn't know what to do.  Hayden said, "Mommy usually prays with me."  So Brad prayed with our son and he fell back into a dreamless sleep feeling comforted by his Fathers.  Wow, God!

Amanda!! That brought tears to my eyes! I have been praying for you for the last few years that I feel invested in this story. God is good all the time! And he will bless your family because of your faithfulness and for your confidence in His love, mercy and his promise to you for your family in

1 Corinthians 7:14 ESV
For the unbelieving husband is made holy because of his wife..

Deuteronomy 6:6-9 ESV
And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

love you girl!
Always a Jesus freak!
