About Me

My photo
I am a Christian. I am a loving wife to my Army-National-Guard-Recruiter-Husband of 15 years. I am a stay-at-home-mother to our four handsome sons. I am a photographer. My blog is about as erratic, eclectic and random as I am, painted with rainbows of photos and words that are hills and valleys you travel; so lovely sometimes that they hurt you. These are the stories of how far we've come in the last 15 years as Christians, as a family and as individuals.

Wow God Wednesday {5}

As I sit here at my computer and try to think of a specific way God has "wowed" me so I can share,  I find that I can't stop thinking about how much the little everyday "wows" matter.  Sometimes it's in waking up and looking into the sleepy eyes of your children as they stumble into the kitchen for breakfast or a good morning hug.  It never ceases to amaze me that God has chosen me to mother these four beautiful boys.

Sometimes it's in how tired you are, physically or emotionally, yet God still gives you the strength to encourage your husband as he heads off to work, leaving you alone with the house once again.  And then how He gets you through another mundane day and shows you that even if no one else gives you the affirmation you so desperately desire that you are an adequate person: mother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend in His eyes.  It's times like these I lift my eyes unto the hills, and remember where my help comes from; it comes from the Lord, the maker of Heaven & Earth.  Wow, God!  Thank you for this reminder; my adequacy comes from you and you alone.

Yes the little every day "wows" matter. You are such a special and blessed person. This is a great post. It almost made me cry, but I didn't cause it also made me so very happy. Happy for you and your family. Happy that they have YOU and happy that God is in your life.
